We are the parent organization that supports the TWBI program in Oak Grove School District. The TWBI program is excited to start their first year at Del Roble Elementary beginning in the 2018-2019 school year.
The purpose of this organization shall be to foster a closer relationship between the home and the school and to assist in the school’s general welfare.
We are a parent group that believes in collaboration in order to guide the school towards advancement while maintaining the Two-Way Bilingual Immersion (TWBI) model.
It strives for innovation and support for teachers as they navigate each grade level.
It creates opportunities for parents, students and staff to participate and become a thriving community.
It was so nice to see so many parents at Back To School Night! In case you didn’t get a chance to stop by our table, or haven’t heard of us yet, we wanted to share a little information with you.
What is CAMINO? We are a group of volunteer parents who help support the teachers, staff, parents, and children at Del Roble. We have provided field trips, technology, community events, and enrichment programs like music, art, and folklorico, most of which are not covered by public education funds.
Through our events and extracurricular activities we strive to enrich the children’s experiences at school and bring more Spanish language and culture into their lives.
In order to achieve our goals, we need your help and support! We are always looking for volunteers and financial support is also needed. We kicked off our Direct Donation Drive yesterday, which is our main fundraiser for the year. This money is used to fund all of the programs and events that we hold through the year. The CAMINO Parent Group is a registered 501.3.c nonprofit so if your company will make matching donations that will help us a lot!
